Our high profile customer have kicked off an SAP implementation across Australia/NZ and are seeking an experienced SAP Project Manager to join their SAP team. This is a brand new opportunity for a talented SAP Project Manager to showcase their experience right across the SAP integration space and pick up skills in other areas.
An excellent daily rate is an offer and our client will interview straight away.
We are looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager who has had direct experience working as an Integration Manager on a similarly large program of work.
Key selection criteria is as follows...- Strong Project Management skills, preferably PMP or Prince2 certified.
- Experienced at managing teams consisting of multiple technical and architecture resources, covering a range of technologies from webSphere, legacy Java and RPG applications through to SAP Integration experts.
- Skilled at driving technical teams to link the output from blueprinting into robust specifications and designs that will enable the program to move through deployment smoothly.
- Strong ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of teams (functional; technical; change, training and testing)
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to drive technical teams.
- Excellent documentation skills
Ideal background...- 15 years post graduate working experience
- 10 years working in IT in a medium to large organisation
- 5 years working in project management of medium projects ($100-$1M; 3-6 months
- 3 years in a project management position
- 3years working on medium to large industry projects ($5M+ ; 6-24 months)
- 3 years working in IT operations, infrastructure and applications
- 3 years in a leadership and people management position (15+ employees)
- 1 years of project management of large project ($5M+)
The successful candidate will not be a classical ERP Project Manager who is typically responsible for only delivering functionality within the ERP application. The successful candidate will be comfortable managing teams across a wide range of technologies, and with managing all facets of people and process change associated with transitioning legacy applications and the people who use and support them from the first pilot through to full deployment.
